About Joanna


Joanna is a warm and engaging Family Nurse Practitioner who brings with her decades of diverse healthcare experience as a Nurse and Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pediatrics and has worked as a Nurse Practitioner providing Primary Care for Detox and Recovery Centers, and Community clinics for the medically underserved. She joined the Direct Primary Care community in 2018, drawn to its patient-centered focus and affordable model. 

Her journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences in 2002. Joanna then pursued her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, becoming a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2009.  She also earned the prestigious Menopause Society Certified Practitioner credential from The Menopause Society, to demonstrate her commitment to supporting and advocating for women's health and vitality. She is dedicated to building strong relationships with her patients, prioritizing preventive health, and providing compassionate care in a supportive, nonjudgemental environment. 

Outside of her work, Joanna enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband, two fabulous children, their Lab, Charlie, friends and extended family.  She enjoys traveling, cooking, golfing, listening to Podcasts, reading and educating future Nurses and Nurse Practitioners.
